Terms of Service

Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CoParent Navigator, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use our platform.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use CoParent Navigator. The platform is designed for adults navigating separation, divorce, and co-parenting.
Description of Service
CoParent Navigator provides digital tools for creating parenting plans, evaluating existing plans, and preparing for mediation. Our platform is a planning and organizational tool, not a legal service.
Not Legal Advice
CoParent Navigator is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice, legal opinions, or legal representation. The information and tools provided through our platform are for educational and organizational purposes only. You should consult with a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction for legal advice.
Intellectual Property
CoParent Navigator — including its software, source code, design, user interface, text, graphics, logos, templates, the clause library, and its plan-evaluation and mediation tools (together, the “Service”) — is owned by CoParent Navigator and its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade-secret, and other intellectual-property laws. The “CoParent Navigator” name and logo are our trademarks and may not be used without our prior written permission. Except for the limited license granted below, we reserve all rights, title, and interest in and to the Service.
License to Use
We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your own co-parenting matters — or, if you are a professional, for your own clients’ matters — in accordance with these Terms. This license grants you no ownership interest in the Service.
Restrictions — No Copying or Reverse Engineering
You agree not to, and not to permit or enable anyone else to:
- copy, reproduce, republish, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works from any part of the Service, its content, its clause library, or its templates, except as expressly permitted;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, models, or underlying structure of the Service;
- scrape, crawl, harvest, or use bots or other automated means to access, copy, or collect data or content from the Service;
- resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or its content;
- use the Service, its clause library, templates, evaluation logic, or outputs to build, train, or improve a competing or substantially similar product or service;
- remove, obscure, or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices; or
- access the Service in order to gain a competitive advantage or to build a similar or competing offering.
These restrictions are a material part of these Terms and survive any termination of your access.
Your Content
You retain ownership of the information and documents you enter into the Service (your “Content”). You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display your Content solely to provide and improve the Service for you and the people you choose to share it with. You are responsible for having the rights to any Content you upload, and for keeping it accurate.
User Responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter into the platform. You agree not to use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage or impair the service.
Acceptable Use and Objectionable Content
Messages, documents, and other content you share on a case are seen by the other people on that case. We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior. You may not post content that harasses, threatens, or demeans another person, that is sexually explicit, hateful, or discriminatory, that discloses another person’s private information, or that is spam.
Every message carries a Report link and a Block link. Reports go to our team, who review them within 24 hours and remove content that violates these terms. Blocking hides a person’s messages from you; you can undo it from your Profile. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section. To reach us directly, email support@coparentnavigator.com.
Limitation of Liability
CoParent Navigator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of the platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim.
Billing, Renewal, and Cancellation
Payments are processed by Stripe. Current prices are always shown on our pricing page and again at checkout before you pay. Our products bill in three different ways, and we want each to be unmistakable:
- Basic is a one-time purchase. It never renews and we never charge you again for it.
- Premium is sold by term (3 months or 1 year). Your term renews automatically at the end of each period at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time from your Profile page ("Manage billing"); cancellation takes effect at the end of the current term, you keep access until then, and your exported plans remain yours forever.
- Professional plans (Solo and Firm) are monthly subscriptions. They start with a 14-day free trial: we collect your card up front, the first charge happens on day 15, and canceling before then costs nothing. After the trial they renew automatically each month at the price shown at checkout, until you cancel. You can cancel online at any time from your Profile page ("Manage billing"), no phone call and no retention conversation required; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period (or trial), and you keep access until then.
Guarantees: Premium and the professional plans carry a 14-day money-back guarantee. Basic is fully refundable any time before you finalize and export your plan. To request a refund, email support or use the contact page. If we ever change a subscription price, we will notify you by email before the new price takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms, including the intellectual-property restrictions above. On termination, your license to use the Service ends immediately; the Intellectual Property, Restrictions, Limitation of Liability, and Your Content provisions survive.
Copyright Complaints (DMCA)
We respect the intellectual property of others and expect users to do the same. If you believe that material available through CoParent Navigator infringes a copyright you own or control, send a notice to our designated agent with: (1) your physical or electronic signature; (2) identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed; (3) the material you claim is infringing and enough information for us to locate it; (4) your address, telephone number, and email address; (5) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (6) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the owner's behalf.
Designated Copyright Agent: CoParent Navigator, Attn: Copyright Agent, legal@coparentnavigator.com. We respond to valid notices by removing or disabling access to the material and, where appropriate, notifying the user who posted it. A user who believes material was removed by mistake may send a counter-notice to the same address. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
