Built to protect your family's information
Co-parenting plans hold sensitive details about you, your co-parent, and your children. We take that seriously. Here is a plain-language look at how we protect it, and what we do not claim.
Your data is isolated by default
Every record is protected at the database layer by access rules tied to your case. People can only see the cases they belong to, and access is denied unless a rule explicitly allows it. Removing someone from a case cuts off their access right away.
Encrypted in transit and at rest
All traffic is served over HTTPS, and your data is encrypted at rest by our managed database provider.
The most sensitive data is extra-protected
In mediation preparation, each parent's answers stay private from the other until both sides choose to reveal. Signed clause records and private preparation can only be reached through guarded, audited server functions, never edited or deleted directly.
AI features respect your privacy
AI runs only when you ask for it. For summaries and clause drafting we replace names with placeholders and send a child's age instead of a birth date, so the AI provider does not receive those details. Under our agreements, the providers do not use your content to train their models.
You control your data
You can download a copy of your data at any time, and request account deletion, from your profile. We do not sell your personal information.
We check our own security continuously
On every change and every week, an automated pipeline scans our code and dependencies for known issues, checks for leaked secrets, and verifies that our data-access rules still hold. A failed check blocks the change from shipping.
What we do not claim
We would rather be straight with you than overstate things. CoParent Navigator is not currently SOC 2 certified and has not yet had a formal third-party penetration test. Those are steps we plan to take as we grow. What is on this page describes the protections that are in place today, not a certification.
CoParent Navigator is not a law firm and does not provide legal advice. Have important documents reviewed by a licensed professional in your state.
